wedding video == comedic gold
Monday, January 29th, 2007OMG.
The comments made by you all (ESPECIALLY one Mr. Troutman and one Mr. Roustan)… there are no words.
Other than, “I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen, nor requested to see, Trout naked.”
OMG.

Robin’s own post about getting married to Adam this weekend made me realize that I never recapped the wedding ceremony and reception. Oops.
The name has been changed:
Alison / Middle Maiden / NewNameODoom
Brandon thanked me. He’s sweet, non?
My sister just sent me a cd chock full of photos! Wee!
So, I’m uploading some more of the pre-wedding pics (mainly getting-ready ones, including photos of my bridesmaids of fabulosity) because the videos that she sent me of the bachelorette party are making me die of shame. Watching the first one alone took about 15 months off of my life. Those will only be shown to people for a substantial viewing fee.
Okay, so I decided to cough up some money to the photographer to get the proofs online (mainly so it’s easier for my parents, and Brandon’s parents and family, to see them, instead of having to send these books around).
Yay!
Anyway, I’ll let you know how to see them (if you want to) when they’re up. :D

HA!
Okay, it’s been three weeks now, so I’m gonna try to remember how things went.

It’s 7am and I can’t sleep because I’m so excited.
Today is our wedding!!!
Brandon has been spectacular, especially in dealing with my freakouts. :) He truly is my beshert.
See you on the other side!
Hi! It’s now three days to the wedding and everything (almost) is going smoothly!
+ I tried the dress on and it looks kick ass.
+ I had my hair trial and it was awesome (even though we’re going to completely change it when we do the final hairdo).
+ Our venue is alllll set.
+ Our ceremony is going to be awesome.
+ My groom got a haircut and he looks like Mr. Sexypants.
+ The weather has been splendid.
+ Everything that I needed to get done is… done!
– I stupidly used a new lotion on Tuesday and Wednesday and am now a victim of rashity. My arms… oy.
– Our flight to Fiji was cancelled. However, this is being worked around.
I am stupidly excited. Woot!
Work all signed a card for me and got me a gift card for Linen ‘N’ Things to celebrate the wedding. To say that I was touched would be an understatement.
My favorite inscriptions were:
“May your anime nights be long,
may your gaming addictions be moderate,
may your rescue breating never be necessary,
and most of all, may your lives together be filled with good times!” — Zoe
(Zoe is hilarious… hee hee. :))
And then, the fact that four members of my team signed it:
Happy Rob
Happy Kevin
Happy Adam
Happy Eric
(This is because Rob accidentally signed Adam’s bday card “Happy Rob”, leaving out “birthday”, so it’s now an inside joke for our team. Man, I love those guys. *sniff*)
And finally, Andrea:
“Yay Alison! <3 Andrea"
I told our CFO that Andrea will report back on how things go... for example, if I vomit. :P
My least favorite inscription was Greg's curse:
"I wish you many, many, many children!"
That one made me snort with laughter :)
Rebecca recommended this book, which I just started reading last night and which directly addresses a LOT of my own issues. Wow. I’m really glad I’m reading a wedding book about women who get married in their early 30s, because there are so many things that we tend to think about that are somewhat moot points for the younger set.
Yay!
In two weeks from now, I’ll be in the midst of getting married.
O__O
Yesterday at work I suddenly realized that we are leaving in 9 days for California. Holy crap. And, I have so much to do… not least of which is spend three hours in full SCUBA gear at a pool Monday night for the rescue diver class. My main stressor is the fact that we can only bring 44 lbs each of stuff with us, including gear, to Fiji. That’s NOTHING! And gear is HEAVY! *freaks out*
Last night I had my third Bridezilla moment. (First moment: doing cakes in Santa Cruz. Second moment: Tuesday night, talking about the processional and yelling at B. Third moment: Last night, generally busting his balls for no real reason.) Ugh, I hate seeing myself like that, and I am really lucky I haven’t gotten smacked yet. I mean, I’d smack me…
Thank g-d for my friends, though. They are helping greatly with my freakouts (props to silsbycarr
Eric and I are wasting time at work building a proof-of-concept intranet site using SnipSnap, an open-source Wiki (wee-key). As much as I love the Wiki concept, the fact that they only support their own super screwy markup languages drives me crazy. For example, in SnipSnap, if you want to make a table, you start AND end it with {table} (not a {/table}) and to indicate that you’re in a different column, you separate things with a pipe (|). Uh, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Things left to do:
(a list.)
:) How much fun are these lists?
